Hey.. Please also see Post 89, looks like there is one user who can run Streetpilot on Android 9. But it needs his re-confirmation if this is really true.

All the other users experienced the same thing, it runs excellent with Location Services disabled. That means you can simulate routes navigation (with maps, voice prompt, search POI.....) that they work beautiful fine. However, once you enable the Location Services (also GPS is on in the Streetpilot), the Location Services cause the Streetpilot to exit the program.

It would be greatly appreciated Tatanic to see if there is anything/findings that could explore more in this part (Android 9 Location Services Interface) !

    Thank You

Same here! Honor 8 Pro with Android 9. As long as the location services are turnd off, the app works fine. As soon as location is turned on, the app crashes. I really hope someone can get this to work.

Does anybody know how to get the battery indicator to work? Mine is always showing red and nearly empty even when it's full. I'm using a Galaxy S5 with Android 7.

The same for me in two tablets with Android 8.1 and 7.0
Everything else seems to be working properly. I never thought this would happen and I kept several devices with Android 5 to be able to use SP.
Thank you all very much for the excellent work done.

To who trying to run Streetpilot 2.33 on Android 9.x,
The latest patched app was originally released by 'voodoo' at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] on March. As the author said, there are still few problems not yet resolved. Also, many people in that forum have verified that the version can't run on an Android 9.x phone if gps/location service is on. Those failure instances includes Huawei P20(Android 9.0 Pie). Therefore, I would suggest you waste no more time on this issue. The unsloved problems can't be resolved simply by replacing strings in apk.

To Tatanic and those who contributed:

Very appreciate to see if there is any possible technical interface issue between Android 9 and Location Services. As a non tech, would it be a Android internal software interface?

Any chance to take a look of this part? Many many users works well in Android 9 with Location Services Disabled.

    Many many thanks...…………………………………………………………!!!!…………………...

Look at the title of this thread
"Garmin StreetPilot v2.33 app for Android v6.7.8.9.0x All Multi Language."

Do you see "for Android 9.0x?" If this thread is using 'voodoo' hack, why is it not given credit to 'voodoo?' If this thread is not using 'voodoo' hack, then the title is wrong.
