Easiest install is probably using ORAK's non-root version. Follow the instructions in his post [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. No hex editing or root access required. Just copy the correct folders into either internal or external SD under Android/data/... Install the APK, reboot, and it should work.

I downloaded the external SD card version and installed the maps on the external SD card of the S5 at:
/storage/extSdCard/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin/Map/

I think woodoo-aven apk too works in S5 without any problems

Thank you for your prompt response, the program itself runs smoothly ... the map shows, allows searches; but the problem appears when trying to calculate route
I currently use the map of Venezuela Venrut v.14.07

I have rooted LG Optimus G E975 with Android 4.4.2 and I installed [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ORAK version of Street Pilot. No FC, everything works fine. Sometimes it crashes when i drive with car and navigate. Just FC.

This is Streetpilot 2.33 for Android 4.4.2 has Padfone error fix.
1. Go to link in Credit, get the Garmin folder(Complete Package)
2. Extract it in to your path below
3. install Apk
4. Copy your Map to ../Garmin/.System/ rename to gmapprom.img
5. MUST reboot device
6. Launch

- Internal memory (storage/sdcard0)
• storage/sdcard0/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

- Internal memory (storage/sdcard1)
• storage/sdcard1/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

- Internal memory (storage/extSdCard)
• storage/extSdCard/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

For Maps
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Check my post above yours. Be prepared to wait a while to copy Garmin folder as it has 9,513 files, you can remove unneeded different language files/folders from ../voice/ and ../Text/ and ../Help/ to speed it up. Atleast the ../Help/, those little basterds are speed killers. If you will be uninstalling to try other apks, move it out or it wipes out.

Specifically what you changed to these applications?
