I guess the maps should download OK using the methods in this thread but is StreetPilot user friendly for off-road navigation when you dont really need auto-routing but want more traditional gps sight-and-go?

    Anyone given this a go?

Topo maps work perfectly, even 3rd party tops, just make sure you make a gmapsupp.img file, unlock it and put it in the SDcard folder in Library. The Canada Topo v4 even shows DEM shading, which is nice.

I tried putting the gmapdem.img file for North America in the main .img folder, but it doesn't seem to be recognized. DEM does work, but only if it's embedded in a map?

gmapdem.img works for middle east working perfectly with my IPhone 4S, just rename it as gmapprom1.img, and you will have a full 3D Terrain map working with you...

What about custom topo maps? I'm using the 2.0 USA version found here and I think I've tried everything and can't get my unlocked custom topo map recognized :-( Actually I'm just looking for a map viewer for my iPhone, don't need address look up or anything.
