i have an iPhone with Garmin western europe map on , everything works fine, I'm running a mac system, and downloaded the whole europe map source.....i have a problem in selecting some countries on map source and transferring them to the phone. it doesn't recognise the iPhone , and if i tried the map install and selected some countries ( limits to only 9 Mb in size ) doesn't even allow me to do so ... i have tried to add another map to the specified root and it worked under gmapsupp.img,
my question is , how to select some regions on map source and transfer them to iPhone on Mac ( I've read the map source tutorial ) , or is there an eastern europe map that i can download somewhere and add it as a second map .....

Thanks Neil, I've tried on windows pc , with an SD card , then using Ifunbox to transfer to iPhone.... all went in good order , much appreciated for your help

need help loading maps.
using a jail-broken iPhone 4S on 5.1.1, downloaded the latest Thailand Garmin Navigator v2 from I********s.
edited the host file as shown, still showing Authentication Failure, to test the edit I put the phone in airline mode, Authentication Failure came up again.
went back, downloaded the "no map western europe" form this thread, the application loads fine, no more authentication problems.
transferred the maps from thailand to the western europe application, no go, maps will not load.

can someone teach me how to load the maps correctly or how to bypass the authentication on the original application, thank you !

I found the Authentication solution, in addition to editing the host file; the garmin-nav file needs to be replaced with a working one from the WE or US application.

i tried the taiwan version 2.02.00
can view map but not routing

i install garmin usa on iphone 4S followed the instructions everything works fine but when i put the address its working very slow can someone help me with this.I have new 2013.10 maps.Thanks

Finally success install CN Indonesia 2012.20 to Western Europe 2.00.20. But just realized that i cant found "Local Search". Any experts can help me ?

Can't seem to win here.

The Indonesia (SG&ML) version allows postcode search will will not route correctly (gives up). It only supports gmap3d.img after deleting the original locked maps. I can get it to pick up any map if I rename it to this file.

The US 2.00.19 routes correctly but will not allow local searches (postcode etc). It will find any map using various names once the folder is chmod 777.

I haven't tested the Western-map version, fingers crossed (downloading now).
