Has anyone had any luck in defeating the newest protection scheme ?
There are several improvements the latest firmware will give me, but at the same time, it will lock my maps. Not good.
Help please!
Does anyone one know how to download a copy of the XML file from my Garmin GPSMAP8212 plotter to an SD card?
The 8212 doe not have any USB ports or other connections to allow me to look at the internal files.
Everything is done using SD Cards and the Card reader.
I keep putting in a blank SD card into the card reader, but the XML file that is loaded onto the SD card is the XML file for the READER.... NOT the chartplotter.
Any suggestions?????
