Garmin Maps expiration Date

Hello
What do you guys know about a message that I'm seeing in my GPS that the maps will expire on March 2018,
Is garmin making me buy again their Charts?

What model GPS and which version of which map?
Could you post a picture of the message?

It is a Garmin 43dv using a HXUS039R V 17.5 V2016 and also Using a Garmin 7610xsv using VUS010R V17.5 V2016

This is because you are using unlocked bluecharts.
Devices ECHOMAP Plus, STRIKER Plus and modern GPSMAP contain a new piracy protection.

hi ,

same error happened to me. added to the plus models is the new software update for GPSMAP 922xs and 722xs. very disappointed. this message will be disappread once you track the satellite signal and it will show can't authenticate map

Is there any way to lock the card again after it has been transferred to a SD card so that it defeats the protection? Will the gps actually disable the charts in March 2018?

the Gps has a new protection on its software. this message showed that it will unlock on march 2018 when the unit is in simulator mode. but if you track the satellite signal the map will lock immediately and never worked.
up to now, there's no way to unlock them still searching
