Caty nailed it. I use Firefox and Adblock....disabling Adblock opened it up. Surprising since I didn't consider the links similarity to pop up ads..

Nice you sorted it.

It happened a couple of times yet, you can remove from adblock settings our like button from disallowed items

Sorry, ignore this. I chose Extract to here and it worked. Dragging the folder didn't work for some reason.

Hi,

When extracting the PC Install .rar maps from Kenta2's post, it says Data error for some files. using 7zip. Has anyone else faced this error?

Don`t dragg the folder, dragg the icon of *.img file ( if you say about map unlocking ).

Try to use WinRAR 5.x

Thanks Victor. I was talking about the actual extraction. All sorted now.

A new error however is that even though I (think I) unlocked the .img file; Basecamp says it's still locked and I'm unable to view it on the Nuvi 3590.
I read another post about needing to use a patched version of Basecamp however those links don't seem to work.

Any suggestions? Or is there somewhere I can download unlocked files from?

Found a new link to BC. It now shows the map as 'Not lockable'; which is the same as the default maps on my device.
Now to figure out how to actually see the map on the device - I can only see my old ones...

PS. Apologies for the multiple posts.

You installed the map in Basecamp, now send the img with Mapinstall to your nuvi, or download the gmapprom.img, unlock and copy in nuvi.

Hi Veershah!
sorry for my bad english!

First if you have one data error with your extract is because you dont use the kenta2's password for extracting : RAR Password: gpspower.net

Bref:
In the past there had pc,you need moved directly in folder gmap, but not actualy those shared here , you need installing your map with execution of .msi file

after unzip (with winrar is the best) in your personnal garmin tool folder for futur, you have this one

Double-click on"CityNavigatorNorthAmericaNT2017.10Update.msi "
warning with one file.msi is not same one setup.exe, it install in root where is it your .MSI file, if .MSI is in your F:\ drive, it install there!
SO ! when it is allowed, you must use the the browser option for to redirect your install at this place:
C:\Users\All Users\GARMIN\Maps

Quebec001 and Catymag - thank you both for the support.

Catymag, yesterday I downloaded gmapprom.img and renamed it to gmapprom1.img and put it directly in the .System folder on the nuvi. So now it shows in BC as Not lockable.

The map even shows in my device under myMaps. I just can't see the maps to search for addresses etc. How can I choose/view from multiple maps on my device? (I unticked the existing ones, no luck though).

I also realised the problem is not having all the PC Install files extracted from Kenta's post. I don't have the .msi files etc. Trying to download again and hopefully that will help.
