Ah, so that's how to do it! I had already downloaded the firmware file (ver 7.60, after checking the chip ID for my nuvi 205W to make sure it was the correct firmware version), but didn't know how to flash the device.
Does installing Basecamp and using it to update the firmware affect the map version also?
