The only model, if I remember well, of 1xxx series using .DB file is the nulink 1695

I also have a Kenwood Naviceiver that uses non-Unicode maps and has SQlite Folder. Can I use the SQLite files from Unicode Version?

If there is a SQLite folder, it must be updated too!
But, update with non-unicode version, for safety. It’s better have all files updated to the same version to avoid conflict between map, JCV, ASR,…

Other matter is I guess that Kenwood not use SQLite, only basic map (gmapsupp.img), 3D map (gmap3D.img), JCV, ASR and POIs; maybe, these files remain non-functional. Check the manual, or inform the specification of your device… It’s not possible to correct inform if you don’t tell the exact model.
And, check also if you have the last firmware.

    Hope been helpful.

No, every map tiles have a MapID, but can find the MapID in other subfiles, so cant use NT version addition files with NTU map version or different NT release version.

    Hey all!

I have a bit of a problem. I have downloaded and added a IMG file to my 60csx and it works great, but now I also need a Mapsource version of the map and don't know which one to download and how to install it in mapsource. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

What was commonly called 'mapsource' [or map source] data version is now usually referred to as 'PC version' or 'PC Install' which is less confusing because MapSource [the program] which uses 'map source data' is now defunct and unsupported anyway.

You can install the 'PC Version' [first link in Post #1] or you can simply open it, find the gmap folder and drop it into the correct loction for your OS and it will be found by the BaseCamp & MapInstall & MapSource programs [but don't use the old MapSource program for making of any modern City Navigator map including EU 2014.40 or you may have errors in the compiled image].

    Default gmap locations:

    Win XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps
    Vista, Windows 7/8/8.1 - C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps
