The file gmap3d.img is the same as the Full map. Then post #1,#2,etc....

Same thing for the files .db and .G2S.

The ASR instead don't work if you don't use the Full map

I can't Speak for pietus methodology but a common way to build custom "mapsets" (coverage and/or size) of your choice is to use Mapsource or Mapinstall. These are both "Map compiler tools" (I much prefer mapsource).

The individual maps you find here are typically not "split" from a large IMG, but are created individually using one of the above tools. There is a process to "split" maps from a large IMG but the various split pieces are usefull only on a PC because, as you mentioned, GPS search functions will definitely not work correctly.

To use these tools (mapaource or mapinstall) you would need to download the appropriate tool and download all ALL maps for the continent you are looking for. In the case of Europe you would download a VERY large multipart RAR archive which is called something like "City Naviigator Europe NT 2013.3 MAPSOURCE UNLOCKED". This is the FULL set of European uncompiled maps. Once they are installed properly on a PC, they become the INPUT files for either mapsource or mapinstall. Using either of those tools you select all of the areas for which you would like coverage (this is what your map will contain). You write the output file which becomes your gmapsupp.img map for use in your gps or on SD card. Also: A gmapprom.img file in your gps is nothing more than a renamed gmapsupp.img file.

It is a option to choose regions in official MapUpdater... You only may use this file as given by God

I downloaded the map europe 2013.30 and after it installed on my computer, open mapsource, moving the map of Italy ', particularly on the map "Tivoli" by increasing or decreasing the zoom or creating a route in this area, the program crashes, bringing error as the file 17817574.1mg Error2.
The file is the map "TIVOLI".
To you all works?

Yes, I can create all kinds of routes on Tivoli map tile.
I can also move around and zoom in and out with no problems.
Something is wrong with your map, download it and install it again.
