For those interested, the CN South America NT 2012.10 also includes details of the following Caribbean islands:
- Bahamas (Grand Bahama & New Providence / Nassau)
- Cayman Islands
- Jamaica
- Puerto Rico
- St. Barthelemy
- Guadeloupe
- Martinique
- Isla de San Andres
Funny thing is that these maps are larger sized in CN South America than in CN North America, even Florida maps... they have different FID also, so that one can have both loaded at same time in their GPS.
Did anyone test them to check differences?
I did a quick comparison of the two. Apparently, they were compiled by Garmin at different time, with different options (such as number of map levels), although on the same date. As far as I can tell, the size reduction in CN-NA is mostly due to a better encoding scheme used to compress road and POI names. The decompressed map data should more or less the same in both CN-NA and CN-SA.
Maps compilation date is the same (19.04.2011) for these regions; in this thread map and in CNNAM
if someone wants to compare, this is Florida and Caribbean islands from CNNAM 2012.10 locked-- FID 2425

Is this Mapsorce version WITH .EXE (INSTALLER)???
There is no MapSource genuine version available ... (.MSI or exe installer...)
There is, however, only versions created with gmaptool...
is this compatible with Nuvi 365 or Nuvi 765?
