Depending on the platform, when address search is not working you may see the "Find Address" (or its equivalent) menu item/button/icon being greyed out (or disabled), or you may get "No Matches Found" in the search result.
So in most cases, the house/building in both ends of a road segment is known and embedded in the map data so as to serve as a basis for the device's interpolation scheme? Is this correct?

The search address is working on mine so I guess I didn't do anything wrong with unlocking it. I have yet to try other house number addresses so see what is going wrong. As of now, all of the addresses I've tried, the device pointed me far off from the exact location of the house.

I hope Philippines users of the 3790T would confirm too about this.

Most likely true in business and residential areas. On the other hand, freeways, highways and remote country roads may not have house number embedded at all.
