Sorry qwik, only now I see you replied to my question.

I have now used Fast IMG Unlocker 1.9 but get the exact same results as before:
the unlocked map is recognized by the nüvi 200, 250W and 255W, but not by the nüvi 205 and 350.

Guess I still have to wait for the MapSource version so I can compile an IMG of < 2GB.
