255 cant use these files, useless for you, when you have doubts look at your product specs.

I'm a newbie to GPS maps and have not used Map Source before. Is it a software that I need to install first before being able to load maps? Have been reading the threads and rather confused about which file I need to download. What is the difference between a mapsource file and image file? Thanks a lot for your patience.
