why did you delete the 1st upload?

both files are named 1490us keyboard(even the 1460 thai firmware)

could you advise if loading 1460 thai firmware on 1490us unit would enable the jcv?

Sorry about the stupid question but how can I use the card? I copied all the files (gmap3d.img, gmapdem.img, gmapsupp.img, J014703.JCV) to the "Garmin" folder on my SD-card. But when I start garmin I say that the card is not unlocked. How can I unlock it? Thank you for your help.

I deleted the first file because an error in compress file and there's something I'm not sure they are correct. So I would like to upload file to a new method which will enable the jcv.

i have the 1490us version.

did you make the 1490 thai firmware from 1460 version 3 fw?

if so, is it then sufficient for me to rename the 1490 gcd file to gupdate.gcd to enable jcv? or do i still have to do something with the 1460 fw?

Quick guide fo convert Nuvi 1490 US to Nuvi 1490 TH

1. Delete Gupdate.gcd from your Nuvi 1490 US.
2. Backup your GPX.
3. Copy th_TH.kbd , th_TH.glx and 006-D2225-00.bin to their folder.
4. Downgrade your FW Nuvi 1490 US to 3.00 US by 1490 300US.rgn with Updater.
or nuvi13xxand14xxseries_regionfileonly__300.gcd.
5. Convert your Nuvi 1490 US to Nuvi 1490 TH by 1490 3.00 US TO 1490 3.00 TH.rgn with Updater.
6. Reboot and checksum your Nuvi 1490US it will be 1490TH FW 3.00.
7. Your Nuvi 1490 is not permanent firmware you can not update directly by original TH firmware
but it work for JCV and Lane assist.

question:

1. which directory to copy 006-D2225-00.bin to? there is no font directory in 1490
2. updater refers to webupdater? but webupdater does not seem to allow me to choose rgn file on my computer to flash...

Is it possible to convert Nuvi 1460 Sg/My version 2.10 to Nuvi 1460 TH version 3.0 with the same instructions as below? This version 2.10 can view Thai JCV, but there are many bugs, so I want to upgrade to newer version (convert to Thai firmware) and can still use Thai JCV. Moreover, if this is possible, would it be fine to use Thai V11 Duo map?

You can try it !

But remember to always use your original boot.bin

Thanks Khun Aekhong. May I understand correct that if I use original boot.bin this will help to prevent my Nuvi turn into a brick? In my case, what should I do for instruction no. 4 ("4.
