Obviously you have not followed Garmin´s introduction of the new locking system for products with a MapID >= 2200. For ordinary MapSource, MapInstall & BaseCamp there must be a GMA file (a digital certificate) to make the map authenticated.
Use the patched versions of [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] & [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to get rid of the GMA check.
The firmware in Garmin newer GPS units may still block the map when transferred to such GPS receiver. Untouched versions is for the connoisseurs who have adequate knowledge. It's always good to have the original start-point (the untouched version) when trying to test new unlocking alternatives.

Hi. I found very useful your clarification about GMA file. I tried both the patched version of MapSource and BaseCamp but I noted that MapSource run fine avoiding the map authentication control. The patched BaseCamp, instead, doesn't work at all! I think the reason is that tha version of patched BaseCamp.exe is 3.05 while the original I had on my PC is version 3.06. So maybe the .DLL' version (3.06) is in conflict with the patched Basecamp version 3.05. I would find a patched BaseCamp version 3.06. Do you have it?

Hello I also have a problem with this map. I unlocked it with JM Key-gen 1.5 (using Unit ID and MapID 2212)
I use Mapsource 16.16.2 with patch and I have unlocked several maps with succes. In the Map product information tab it states: "TrekMap Italia v2 2.00 Unlocked" I can use the map in MapSource like other maps. I transfered a part of the map to my Oregon 450. When I start the GPS I get the message: "Can't Authenticate Maps". What should I do to get a working map on my handheld?

All maps with FID 22xx and up have GMA protection you most unlock IMG file with Unlocker
