TY catymag. But I am still unsure if I need the stand alone, complete, or just the IMG. Anyone help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

If you have the complete Mapsourceon your PC it means you can transfer parts or all of the map including waypoints etc to your gps. if you don't want to do that, just download the img, always back up your img from your device to your pc then just replace the img inside your device or your sdcard with the downloaded img and you are set, downloading an unlocked img means there is no need to do any unlocking, dedending on your gps you may need to download the extra gmap3d.img and your JCV.img again if you do this and intend to replace old with new back up to computer first

If you are planning trips on your PC or wanna search for Adress in advance, then use the mapsource version. If you just need it on your device, go with the IMG

Boy, I wish my unit had USB2!
Worked fine after the painful upload to the device.

    Thanks

If you have SD card on device and card reader on PC (or notebook), you could update map directly on SD from PC

    Hi,
I'm looking for a map especially focused on the historical Route66.
Is there any dedicated to R66 or the NorthAmerica or (USA) city navigator
    contains all the info?
    thanks
    Pippo

    I'm confused
Do you have in mind "Route 66" navigation program or "Route 66" Highway in USA?

Thanks for the bellebar, it solved my problem.
Yeah, I was looking for a map dedicated to the historic route 66.
Not for the "route 66" navigation program...

Data seems to be routes for CN NA v8. Current map would be CN NA NT v14.10 and some road alterations would be expected.
