i downloaded that updated 3d map file from garmin and that gave me the errors "Cannot unlock maps" that it was supposed to take care of. with the 3d file included in the OP here, i dont get that error. btw, does anyone see the 3d map listed separately in their list of maps on the nuvi unit? i thought it used to list the 3d map and the full map as separate maps with chechmark next to them. i dont see that with this latest 2011 map. is my unit even loading the 3d map?

POI's are included in the map. Like Restaurants, Hotels, etc...
Do you look for any special POI's?

i see. for some reason i thought garmin is making it available on website for download, that means it must be unlocked. is there a separate mapID for the 3d file to unlock? i am just curious. also can someone check if they see a separate 3d map file in the list of maps installed on the nuvi? i dont see on mine even with the 3d file from OP installed. i wont be going to a 3d area anytime soon so cant verify its working.

i just found out last night there is a bug with the initial release of the download of CN 2011.10. Google or visit Garmin's support website so you can download the updated 3D map file which will resolve this issue. This affected anyone who downloaded CN 2011.10. Friday and before. Mine wasnt affected. Still, another reason to wait for the most current release of maps (usually a few days after the download is first made available from Garmin)

I upgraded the map on my Nuvi 360 back in 08 but I have spent 3 hours trying to figure out what I am supposed to do here. I don't know if I need the stand alone, complete, or just the IMG. Anyone help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Also I downloaded both these files part 1 & 2 and they appear to be the same download. All the files are named the same and the file sizes are exact.

It won't let me post links because I am still under 10 posts but it is the very first 2 files.....
