Agreed^^^^. That's good advice as usual from Garman_Nuvi. Assuming you've let it get a proper satellite fix by taking it outside for a few minutes you can now effectively test its navigation functions using simulation. Because it's been reset it's best to have an initial satellite lock before testing, but no need to drive around if you don't want to do so.
About this:
That's Garmin_Nuvi's DS 55 Europe.html uploaded, he had his device in Mass Storage Mode which is why it shows like a flash drive and is allocated a drive letter (D:\ in that case). Devices left in the default Media Transport Protocol show as portable devices rather than drives so they don't get allocated a drive letter by Windows.Originally Posted by asprin624

Thank you Neil, Garmin-Nuvi and everyone else that has helped me.
I have been making short trips each day and it "seems" to be navigating as it used to. I am going on holiday in a couple of days so hope that its working correctly for that.
If I need to I will come back here as everyone has been very helpful.
