Agreed^^^^. That's good advice as usual from Garman_Nuvi. Assuming you've let it get a proper satellite fix by taking it outside for a few minutes you can now effectively test its navigation functions using simulation. Because it's been reset it's best to have an initial satellite lock before testing, but no need to drive around if you don't want to do so.

I do not know how Keith was able to have a drive letter other that downloading all of the DriveSmart folders.

That's Garmin_Nuvi's DS 55 Europe.html uploaded, he had his device in Mass Storage Mode which is why it shows like a flash drive and is allocated a drive letter (D:\ in that case). Devices left in the default Media Transport Protocol show as portable devices rather than drives so they don't get allocated a drive letter by Windows.
