    Do you know if this applies for the GPSmap62s as well? I'm wondering if the new G2V nautical maps will have problems on this device.     Yes, the 62 is essentially the same internally as the 78 and is not designed to deal with the G2V charts.

    Perhaps you can use the technics described in the above posts to tweak the charts to get rid of the satellite vews that interfere with the display, but I find it easier to just use the Regular charts.
