Thread: Garmin Nuvi 3790T questions

bump! bump! bump!

I got 3790US because...
1). It's cheaper.
2). I can modified to use Asian firmware (Sg/My 2.30., CHN2.20)


But now it's not exactly true because US unit may not be modified to use Asian firmware anymore.
And no one know till the modified rgn is made and test to flash nuvi across region.

For this reason., if we don't have 3760PH firmware so no one know 3790US can be modified to use 3760PH firmware or not.

JCV files now were locked.
1).Thailand
2).Sg/My
3).Indonesia
4).....??

To use Sg/My jcv you need Sg/My firmware., if not , you can use only map not Sg/My jcv feature.

I don't know about Philippine JCV., will be locked in the future or not.?
If it will be locked so you need PH firmware to use PH jcv or at least you need to modify 3790US to use 3760PH firmware.

( 3790US can't be modified to use 3770 Thai firmware so 3790US can't use Thai jcv.)

So you may need more data or buy 3790US if you dont mind about jcv or 3790US features.
