Yes, that’s exactly what I did, I was able to put it back but it was driven by curiosity and I was trying to do a complete makeover. That's the end of it. Thank you for your cooperation!

As i guessed. The reason to flash with hybrid fw first is to see if the device exhibits any unwanted behavour or inability to start normally. If it does so, then it's always possible to flash back to original fw because the region mapping and HWID are unchanged. Unfortunately if hybrid fw causes problems like you experienced then a full conversion by flashing complete fw can often irretrievably brick it.

Try removing the battery for a while, there's a small chance it might re-start afterwards.

I wanted to try this conversion, so I bought a lot of 255w's, HWID=0827 from EBAY.

Conversion procedure & files from Butters, Post #79 worked great on 4 of the 6 nuvi's, Flash_Kit_0827_Hybrid_RGN.

Conversion failed multiple times on 2 nuvi's & they had FLASH P/N 575-A0104-XX.
They failed with a locked Garmin Logo screen & would only power off by sliding power sw for about 10 seconds.
They were easily restored by flashing with provided Flash_Kit_0827_RGN.
As suggested, older firmware may be needed to flash some units, but PouchX flash couldn't be located.

Couldn't get into pre-boot with holding top-left corner of screen on 1 of the units that had a bad battery.
It would only power up with USB connection. Putting unit in Diag. mode before plugging in USB cord solved issue.
Converted Nuvi's were left as HYBRIDs following suggestion from Butters & Neil.

I just got the 255WT, with HWID 0827 and P/N A0104-XX. Just for fun, i was trying to convert it with Flash_Kit_0827_Hybrid_RGN but it ended up with soft brick, hanging by Garmin logo forever. After turning it off (sliding pw button 10 seconds) i managed to restore it with Flash_Kit_0827_RGN. I tried 3 times, with the same result, then i gave up. Seems like 575-A0104-XX versions cannot be converted into Nüvi 465... I tried to flash it to SG version which went OK, lane assist and Junction view does work, but there are problems with EU language files. Some of the files aren't displayed correctly, and voice files basically don't exist for the SG version, expect the English. I would need some western EU voice files, like Slovakian, Hunagrian, Czech... But i could not find them... So i ended up converting it back to original state, sadly no conversion is fully compatible with this unit...
