    nextgen Is it possible to not pause the music when playing alerts/voices?

    Hey!

    It is quite annoying that every announcement/alert pauses the music player, the announcement/alert plays and it unpauses the music.

    Not sure if this is a configuration in iGo NextGen or my car (which doesn't have a configuration for this).

    Something like Waze/Google Maps in mobile phones would be nice, they turn down the music volume and do the announcement without pausing it.

    The biggest issue is that when I'm not playing any music and an announcement happens, it plays the music (probably because it was paused and it thinks that it should unpause it).

    This makes it impossible to drive without listening to music (with the annoying pause/unpause) unless I set my car to a muted source such as auxiliary or if I want the music to not be paused, I have to mute the iGo.

    Is there a configuration in sys.txt to change this?

    Thanks!

    Mine is running under WinCE but I will give it a shot.

    Update: No changes. Do we know a nextgen pack that is known to not mute the audio?

    I could try it to see if this is a limitation from my MCU.

    Mine doesn't have a config for pause/resume during nav, only for the nav volume (maybe it was hidden by Land Rover? )

    I don't have access to the actual HU filesystem, only to the SD Card.

    Any other options?

    These are the sound settings of the system itself, they have nothing to do with the navigation software (ok, they don't have directly).
    You are not the first to have such a problem ...

    That means the HU is the one pausing/resuming the music when the nav application plays something?

    If so, at least in the UI, I don't have a way to modify this behavior.

    Given I'm using WinCE and not android, isn't navigation_audio_stream supposed to be in another section of the sys.txt instead of [android]?

    Exactly
    If the sys commands (navigation_audio_stream) don't work, there's nothing you can do
    Yes, under sound. But I never tried to see if there was an impact.

    Edit:
    for Win CE try this also
    [sound]
    use_os_volume=1
    sound_muted=0
