I'm sure pt_BR.kbd doesn't exist too, but can't say for certain. Anyway as Giomen says the EU PT keyboard file works so I'm unsure what the problem is.
Also Tom is correct, the 37x0 and 34x0/35x0 use different files. The 37 kbd files will work in 34 but there are problems as reported here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. I haven't tried the other way around.

I think that the file pt_BR.kbd does not exist; he is used pt_PT.kbd with the same finality. My Nuvi 3597LMT - Brazilian, uses the file pt_PT (07/01/2013) efficiently.
