RGN_Tool v0.84 has been posted to fix a runtime error problem when saving the patched version of the US frimware v4.50 to .GCD. No other effects.
Here's also the list of features per model per firmware region that can be enabled. Let me know if I need to add more.

Using the same patch implemented in RGN_Tool or the other set of bytes earlier in the code?

See my patches in previous posts. I expect that your patch would work too but haven't checked.

Respect!

Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
Thanks Giomen. You will need a patch for every future versions. It is enabled by patching the firmware, not changing the non-volatile memory. Nothing is perfect, but it is a start...

@ Turbo
No need to touch the NVM. All of those function can easily be enabled by re configuring the device - simple xmls...I even read that some people offer this "favor" paid. Glad you find this trick (patch) in the firmware now everyone will have access to those features for free. (as it should be IMHO)
Settings that are changed by XML are not even in NVM, actually
Can you point me to some of those people selling XMLs?
I don't know whether the features should be free or not, but our efforts no doubt decrease Garmin's income.
