Enable 3790 features on your 3750/60
(Sorry for double posting, but I think this is worth it!)
Gentlemen! Today is your lucky day if you have a 3750 or a 3760. I found a way to enable the Contacts, Calendar, 3D Terrain and Building like on the nuvi 3790. ASR appears and is functional on the 3760, but it does not work on the 3750 as there is no microphone installed. See the table below for the list of features that can be enabled for each GPS per firmware region.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
To enable those features, use RGN_Tool.exe. Load your firmware in RGN_Tool, patch it using the Tools->Nuvi 3790 Patch. Save the modified firmware and flash. Make sure to use the right boot.bin with the correct HWID. All previous rules apply.

With 3760 US firmware v4.50, I am told that ASR is enabled and WORKING! Seems like the microphone is installed which is not the case for the 3750 US model.Last edited by turboccc; 29th October 2011 at 02:07 AM.

Using v0.83 for US firmware = not patch for POI filter.
Asian firmware has POI filter by default.

But last asian firmware (TWN, SG) not work at 3760/3790. Good for, but only for 3750:-((((

Try it. The patch will work. I checked the code. I just do not know if it will enable anything. I am not sure if there are any feature difference with the 3790. Maybe it will enable 3D building...

True! You are right. Then let's see what will this enable for US fw v4.30...
If I had a 3760 or a 3790, I could try to work on this...
Edit: still not bad for a guy that did not use a disassembler...

Unfortunately, I don't have 3760 or 3750 to try the patch myself but hope some else confirm it.

Voice commands work great on 3760, thanks Turboccc
No calendar or contacts.
There are 9 functions at the area you have patched, have you checked what they are?
