Resolution does not matter at all for nextgen.
What Android version. Where is location of main folder (internal/external memory). Whether you allowed the igo application access rights (storage, location). Did you turned off google's restrictions. Etc...
If you strictly adhere to the instructions given by the implantation with each version, there can be no problem.

Huawei P20 pro with iGo Nextgen (iGO 9.18.27.xxx)
I have a mobile phone Huawei P20 pro.
I tried to install different versions of iGo Nextgen (iGO 9.18.27.xxx) .
The installation runs without issues.
If I start the program after installation I get a short message on the screen only:
"navigation wird geladen" (In English : Navigation is starting)
This message is for 1 second visible then the program ends.
What I checked in the file sys.txt file :
[rawdisplay]
screen_xy="auto"
data_folder_name="iGO"
remark: Huawei P20 pro has resolution of 1080 x 2240 Pixel
Can someone help me ?

How can I check the google's restrictions are turned off ?
Remarks :
The same iGO 9.18.27.734842 Version works on
Samsung S10e (Android Version : 10 )

Thank you for the answer.
I "asked" Google and I found how you can switch off the Google Play protection.
I switched off the Google play protection but with iGO is the same situation :
If I start the program I get a short message on the screen only:
"Navigation is starting”
This message is for 1 second visible then the program ends.
By the way :
On my Samsung S10e is the Google play protection is ON (the same iGO 9.18.27.734842 Version).
Here the navigation works.
I am very grateful for further solutions

@AndreasWagne: test a NG-World Basic-Version with VR([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) and Pongo-Skin, Lang and Voice is german.
!! not add any Files other than Lang and Voice in your Language
?? but that can be an Error/Problem when iGO starting and read Files! ??

There is a large part unnecessary in your sys.txt.
Make a backup of your sys.txt, reinstall, and let the app create its own sys.txt
