    Hi modemakias, thank you for sending the modified "startup" file sys.txt. I tested and modified the parameters in sys.txt all Sunday, but I still have the same result on the black screen.

    I think a screen resolution problem in my phone (1920x1080). So I focused on the [rawdisplay] section ... I've tried different combinations of settings, but I am do not new ideas.

    I also installed iGO World 9.18.27.736653 without my sys.txt and let iGO create this file ... unfortunately again the same result.

    Of course I am going to invent new combinations of sys.txt settings, but my SONY G8142 still rejects iGO Nextgen ...

    Thx Monky

    Do not touch rawdisplay section. Your phone has native 3840 x 2160 res. You halve it?
    You put all content in internal memory? Did you complete uninstall all the iGO software by the book? Cleared cache, removed all tails?
    Not just delete save folder. Must clear cache and others.
    You have granted all software permissions?

    Spoiler: folders in internal

    My Content is located in internal memory, in folder

    Hi All, all the week I testing IGO versions mentioned in this topic. I follow this procedure :

    1) rename the iGO folder as version of "iGO_World"
    2) rename folder in sys.txt ... for example data_folder_name = "iGO_World"
    3) Copy to iGO_World ... UX folder; data.zip; sys.txt
    4) Copy iGOxxxxxxx.apk to internal memory on my phone
    5) delete folders SAVE
    6) clean Cache
    7) restart the phone
    8) install iGOxxxxxxx.apk
    9) launch iGO

    I applied the basic sys.txt provided by Boki_srb and modemakias but the black screen at startup is still with me... The result is unfortunately for my phone still the same as in post #21. I'm still looking for a solution, but ideas are coming ...
    Thanks to all for your help

    First - uninstall all iGO
    - go to settings > Apps & notifications > find iGO app you have > force stop, clear cache, clear data, uninstall
    - repeat for every igo version you have
    if you installed another version earlier, whether it is deleted or not, install it again, then remove it in the same way
    - delete device.nng file
    - reboot phone
    - create folder structure like on my screenshot in #24, put all desired files
    - install for example T4A, use clean package, only folder renamed to iGO_Africa, of course; do not launch
    - put latest global_cfg.zip in iGO folder, put it in iGO_Maps/content/global_cfg folder also
    - replace sys file with mine
    - start T4A

    You did not answered me:
    what is phone settings for display resolution?

    If still problems, try with
    [rawdisplay]
    dpi=480
    base_dpi=280

    There is one more possibility:
    after phone updated to Pie, you had to do Factory Reset.
    Of course, first backup all settings, apps, phonebook, etc to google or Xperia cloud, then do it.

    Problems with "Pie" (Android v.9.0) resolved !!!

    Hello friends, I solved the black screen - iGO Basar_9.18.27.736574_13.06.2018 on my SONY Xperia G8142 phone.

    Both Folders is only in the phone's internal memory. I created two folders:

    íGO_Basar - Contains only "content"
    iGO_Maps - Contains everything else

    in sys.txt I wrote the following:

    [folders]
    data_folder_name = "iGO_Basar"
    linked_root_list = "/ storage / emulated / 0 .................. etc ...
    has_secondary_root = 1
    android_secondary_root_path = "/ sdcard / iGO_Maps"

    [android]
    fullscreen = 1
    ignore_keyguard = 1
    1logcat_level = 5
    create_sdcard_dir = 0
    close_keyboard_on_back = 1
    background_shutdown_timeout = 0
    check_folders_after_rebuild = 0
    disable_restart_after_phone_call = 1

    [device]
    type = "android"
    device_nng_path_secondary_disable = 1

    [rawdisplay]
    screen_xy = "auto"
    dpi = "auto"

    Perhaps this solution will be beneficial to other navigators who have the same problem after the Android 9 Pie update.
    I wish everyone a happy trip! Monky

    Hello

    iGO Primo Nextgen(Israel) 9.18.27.687519
    Xiaomi Mi A1 64GB
    iGo in the anroid 9 internal memory
    For me it was enough to add the folder name from iGo in the last line:

    [folders]
    data_folder_name = "iGO_Israel"
    linked_root_list = "/ storage / emulated / 0 .................. etc ...

    has_secondary_root=1
    android_secondary_root_path="/storage/0/iGO_Israel"

    Hi friends,
    Today I received an upgrade from SONY. I allowed the installation new SW. Unfortunately iGO again had a black screen. I already the problem, after updating on Android 9 Pie, solved in post #28.

    I use iGO Basar_9.18.27.736574 on my SONY Xperia G8142 phone

    I made the following adjustments :

    1) Uninstall iGO
    2) Install iGO_Basar_9.18.27.736574.apk
    3) Deleted the SAVE folder

    4) in sys.txt write change

    [folders]
    ; has_secondary_root = 1
    ; android_secondary_root_path = "/ sdcard / iGO_Maps"

    5) Deleted file system.ini
    6) I moved the folder Content to the iGO_Basar folder. So everything is in the phone's internal memory in the iGO_Basar folder.
    7) Restart the phone

    iGO works ! .... Initial setup and everything works as it is have !!!

    P.S. ...We have one proverb in our country...
    What does not kill you makes you stronger
