I have looked all over the forum and can't seem to find the solution if one exits. Hopefully someone can help me out.
I have a Garmin DriveSmart 61 (HWID 2588) and I can't get the Garmin Cyclops Safety Cameras locked or unlock to work after firmware version 4.50. At 4.50, the camera files (Dec 30, 2023) work perfectly. Everytime I do the map updates for example to 2024.20 It immediately upgrades the software firmware to the latest version which is 6.70 and the Garmin Cyclops files stop showing up in the Garmin. The only solution would be to downgrade the firmware to 4.50 after getting the new updated maps. I have tried using the "DriveSmart 61 (2588) fw6.70" patched firmware file that was posted in this forum. I have deleted the GUPDATE and then used a microSD Card to load up the "loader" screen and change the factory firmware of 6.70 to the unlocked firmware of 6.70 (I assume it worked. I really have no way of telling). The camera files still do not work. I have also used the "Cyclops Safety Cameras Patch Tool" to patch the the original Camera file as well as the "Protected Garmin File Toolkit v.2.2.5.4" and version 2.3.0.4. I have tired the "Unlock button" in the tool as well as the "FID700" and "FID900." Am I supposed to change the ID's (FID, PID, RgnID, VenID) to some specific numbers for my individual Garmin to work?
Also, when I drag and drop the locked camera file into the Protected Garmin File Toolkit 3 consecutive messages appear one after the other the numbers are 38, 234, 12. Do these numbers mean anything?
Has anyone found the solution to this?
Thank you in advance!
Have New Year to ALL!!!
