You don't need to use BC to install maps, it invokes MI to do that anyway. Can you see the map normally in MI run as Admin.?
Switch to 2D view in BC [View>Map View>2D] and try dragging with the pan tool in case the map's out of the viewing area.

Ugg i really must be doing this incorrectly..... When i start up mapinstaller (with 4.0.4 patch exe) i get this:
And i have nothing to choose in the drop down box "Mobile PC"....
And basecamp looks like this when selecting the 2015.30 or 2015.20 map:
I used the Garmin Basecamp Universal Patcher V1.1:
However, the 2009 map does display:---START PATCHING---

After running as admin i see 1 thing in the dropdown box... "OS (C:\)" but no "mobile PC" option:

So i didnt proceed with "continue" since i dont want it to just install on the C:\ drive which wouldn't seem to help me with Garmin Mobile PC....

Mate, you're still using the reverse-engineered preview map. Get rid of it and use the proper PC Install or gmap folder for NA 2015.30 from here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
Where is your GarminMobilePC folder, is it on your laptop's C drive or an external drive? If it's in your system drive's root it should have been found. Alright did that and now when i pull them up in mapsource it tells me its lock so i use the jetmouse to get a code and skip the box inside mapsource. Then i go to Utilities>manage map products and add that key to the unlock regions and all is fine... displays the map on screen but i am unable to highlight any of the states.... You can only use JM code to unlock in MS if it's the patched version. Don't use MS anyway, it's old, outdated and unsupported by Garmin because it's totally unsuited for compiling images from large modern CN gmap folders. Use the patched version of MapInstall. First, unlock the gmap folder with one of the unlockers, preferably [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

I've looked at the tutorials and all and i still can not seem to get it working?? I unlocked the 2015 map and all that went ok. But when i go to mapinstall i only have a choice to install the map onto drive C:\. It never says anything about "Garmin mobile" as an option. Originally Posted by Neil

i have patched it....over and over and over again. uninstalled, tried another version.. uninstalled that, etc etc..
I've tried MapInstall v3.14.4 Patched & MapInstall 404_patched at which neither show "mobile PC". The mobile PC software is running fine on my PC version 5.70 registered but no maps are found when navigating through settings.
Would anyone that has version 2015.3 installed and working with 5.70 of GMPC PM me and help me out?
