Okay I guess I could PM Paveli, just thought someone else might have them as those links seem to be long dead (and pretty sure he posts on other forums where the links are the same/dead unfortunately). I'll give him a PM and hope he replies.

That thread looks like it's for "old" map requests...is 2016.10 considered old now? I thought it was the latest for NA. Has 2016.20 been released or leaked already?

Damn that sucks Hmm well I have a total of 3.9GiB on the internal flash of my unit I think (after deleting most everything I could, there's 3.65GiB free and 256MiB used). So I think I can fit the entire map IMG on the unit itself. I've left the SRD files in the directory on the unit; I can still place the ASR/SRX files on the SD card though, right? That will still work? I still don't know if my unit is only having a problem reading the SD on startup 'cause that's where the maps are or what it is. But I guess I could try the main map on the unit and then JCV, POI, and ASR on the card and see if it reliably reads it at boot. I'm really pulling my hair out over why it behaves the way it does but I guess I should make a separate thread about my issue.
