Hello,
I have installed Full Europe coverage.
In Mapsource, when I try to send maps to device (create gmapsupp.img), it fails and I get a error message "MDR_TRIM_ADDR.CXX-4014-6.16.3.0" !!!
Any help ???
Thanks
Read tutorial for beginners on the first:
http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com/Navigation+and+Routes#FAQ-NR3.) Can I simulate driving a route on my Oregon?
There is no any DEM data for 3D mode on this maps. I think there is no any DEM data for 3D on Gmapdem.img too. Only TOPO series maps contains detailed DEM data for 3D mode on hendhelder.
Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?

You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Beginners tutorial explains exactly what I have been doing.
Did all that but it does not work!
I select a waypoint in Europe but when I select Go I immediately get an error message:
"Route Calculation Error: Maps do not have routable roads in this area".
The GPS does not give me the option to reposition. Really dumb.
I mean I can't have routable roads for the whole planet loaded.
At least on my old dumb Garmin I could manually set the location but this piece of *^%$#% is very annoying!
Well I eventually got it into Automotive test by selecting Recreational! I know, right!~ Unbelievable stupidity! Can't believe some programmer actually got paid to program something this bad!
Anyway the test function is basically useless because you can only test point to point. You can't (or at least I can't find out how to) test a downloaded Route. Not too clever. Thank goodness for Sygic!
Anyway, thanks for your help guys. I still just can't get over just how bad the software really is!

@tigertrader
From the Garmin wiki:
Follow these steps to simulate driving a route from A to B (you can skip steps 2 and 3 if you want to simulate a route from your current position):
1. Put the Oregon in demo mode (Setup>System>GPS>Demo Mode)
2. Select WhereTo?, pick your starting location like a waypoint, POI, etc., and press "Go". Call this point A.
3. Select "Move to Location" when asked if you want to simulate driving this route.
4. Select WhereTo? again, pick your destination location and press "Go". Call this point B.
5. Select "Yes" when asked if you want to simulate driving this route and the Oregon will simulate following the route from A to B.
Note: Depending on your location and the maps you have loaded you may get an error after step 2) indicating a "Route Calculation Error". If so, you can put the unit in Off road routing mode (Setup>Routing>Guidance Method>Off Road) prior to step 2) and back to On road routing mode after step 2) (Setup>Routing>Guidance Method>On Road For Time) to avoid the issue.
If you still can't get it to work, please PM me and i'll move these Oregon specific posts to a new thread. This is quite OT in here.
