Unfortunately, it is not possible.
My carminat tomtom live came with version 9884, is it possible to downgrade to version 8842? If so, how do you do it?
Step by step update procedure is described in the first post so if you cannot understand the procedure, than most likely you won't be able to create a working package for your car.
I always get this map cannot work on this device, and I have tried everything
That message normally means you haven't cracked/activated the map.
You don't say which map or navcore you're trying to use.
Is there a yourmapname.meta.dct file inside the map folder?

bellow is picture of my system. If I understand well I can't use maps for free because i have navcore 9.843 (higher than 8.842). Can someone confirm my suspicions?
my navcore is 9.843 and it's wroted Carminat tomtom, not tomtom live. Can I use maps on SD with fast activate? Thank you
Spoiler: pic
For the time being I drove a Renault Scenic with a built in Tomtom.
Figured out how to check the map version; 725.1882
Fired up my laptop and started my favorite browser to look for a solution.
Found this amazing thread.
Dug into a drawer and found an unused 2GB SD Card which is the same capacity of the original one.
Copied the original SD Card content to my laptop. (always have backups)
Followed this manual and succeeded to create a working SD Card with Tomtom App version 8.843 and map version 1030.9524
Now I have also the IQ and ALG.
Fiddled around with some voices, photo's, cars and raster files.
Thank you so much for this perfect explanation !!
!! Keep up the good work !!
