I have not investigated an XXL for the diode repair but it probably has a similar power system with the diode designated with D +number
like the number for TT One is D5, the number for GO630-GO930 is D8, the number for XXL D?

The diode usually burns up and you can tell just by looking at the board, it would be on the same side of the pc board that has the other
surface mount components (opposite side of power supply plug-in) very near the power supply plug on the opposite side of the board.

Will be doing this repair on a GO930 and GO720 that need this, Will post the pics (good or bad lol) plus explain and see if I can still solder.
I have some renewed interest in TomTom this week.

Until then here is a pic of a diode on a GO720 to show what diode looks like anyway.
This diode is not burned up but does not work for some reason, your diode should be similar if TT did not alter power method on the XXL.
