    You can delete it as often as you like, it will be recreated at every boot of your device
    The ttgo.bak and ori are basically to fool Home into thinking you use a different NC, nothing more, nothing less.

    I agree with what you say, but where does it get its info from? I don't want 9400 - I have modified an Xl and a Start with the two line and it works perfectly. I have tried the same with my Go530 and it does not work - the ttgo.biff keeps coming back with my original 8351 NC. I have tried creating ttgo.biff, ttgo.bak & ttgo.ori file with the two 9400 lines, but the original biff keeps coming back.
    My self generated ori file shows the 9400 lines but TTHome still wants me to update.
