Ok, I can point you to a map upgrade. First though, you may have a useable copy of the map on your computer until you get the new map downloaded.
Look in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Backup\XXL\Backup01\InternalMemory
Substitute your user name for \Administrator\ if you are not the Administrator of the computer.
Substitute your Tomtom model for \XXL (maybe XL?) and you will see your total backup of your device in \InternalMemory if it was backed up.
The map will be the folder named Western_ Europe, or something similar. You can just copy this folder onto your Tomtom and use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to activate it, if you have the backup.
Ok, now that that is out of the way, will assume you just want the original map updated to a newer version. The maps are released every 3 months or so, 4 times a year. We have to locate the correct map for your device. It looks that you are using Navcore 9.510, that information is from your previous post "Installed add-ons = Map status indicator 1.7.1, TomTom HOME default theme 1.0.2, Emulator 9.510.1234792.1"
Ok we need a map, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] They are the version 940 maps that just came out.
We need to know which map. The Tomtom XL has 2GB (gigabytes) of storage if I remember correctly, we can use one of the 2GB maps. The map links are 2GB unless otherwise specified (like 1GB) so lets go look at the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and see which maps are useable for the 9.510 Navcore with 2GB of storage. The map numbers are at the top of the chart, they start with 940.5966 and end at 940.6004
It looks like you can use any of the versions available with Navcore 9.510, so now all you have to do is go over to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
One thing though before you do that. The latest maps need the metacode to activate, so its a good idea to go over to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]and see if someone was able to post a meta code for the version of the map you decided to get.
Chances are pretty good that it will be there, and if it is it will probably be included in the latest version of [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. If its not in FastActivate yet then you can manually add it to FastActivate if necessary. It is important to make sure that your metacode is available if you are going to use a version 940 map. If you don't see the metacode for the version 940 map you want to use, you can choose a version 935 map instead. Be advised the maps may take a few days to get all the parts. Anyway, thats enough to get you started in the right direction so good luck and have fun .
