Thread: Map folder query on a ONE XL

Ah. In that case I probably have misunderstood. I thought your NC already came with some computerised voices (not sure where I got that idea from - probably from another of the very many threads I've been reading trying to work this out!).

So....I guess I need to try and install some computerised voices - will try to find some to download and try but not sure where they are?! Will keep looking...

How exactly should I go about doing this and does it matter whether they are v6 or v7 devices (I think I read somewhere that v6 voices are less RAM intensive so better suited to older, low RAM unit like my ONE XL)?

Update: Found the English Kate cab file. Extracted it directly into the LoquendoTTS folder and it now appears (and works - at least in 'test' mode) as an option when English UK is selected as the langauge. Need to test this out on the road but didn't you say "Remember to have the Loquendo folder with your voices already on the device, if copying it over after the NC installation you will overwrite the patched sound files." Still a bit confused...
