If you check the installe carefully you might notice a version with "soundfix" - might worth a try ?
Remember to have the Loquendo folder with your voices already on the device, if copying it over after the NC installation you will overwrite the patched sound files.

Oh dear! Either I'm not doing something right (highly likely!), I'm not understanding something (ditto!) or I'm just not that smart (no comment..!
) but I can't seem to get the computer voices to work.
I can get 'normal, recorded voices' to work by placing the 'Voices' folder (from a NC8.010 backup) in the root diectory of the SD card.
I did as you suggested (at least I think this was your suggestion!) and placed the Voices folder I mentioned above in the root dir of the SD card prior to installing the sound fix version of the NC via the installer - no joy.
you said to "Remember to have the Loquendo folder with your voices already on the device". Have to admit a bit confused by that instruction. I'm trying to do a clean install on an SD card. I have no Loquendo folder from any previous install, only the 'Voices' folder I mentioned above.
What am I missing?
If it helps at all, I can see 2 greyed out computer voices if I select English (US) as the language, and a few normal voices. If I select English (UK) as the language, the computer voices disappear but more normal, recorded voice options are present.
My brain is fried! Any help very gratefully received...
