hi all and may i say that this forum is wicked ive had tom toms before often read bits on hear without being a member, i got a tt one v8 and wanted to update map so i formatted the internal hd fat32 and put on all the files needed, there all there on the hd but it wont boot all i get is a big RED/White X on the startup screen but all files are present on the HD. thanx in advance for any help

clean your device and update your device official navcore with TomTom HOME [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

hi mate and thanx for ya prompt reply, right ive tried that it updated ok no probs but it still got the red/white X getting worried now its not mine, tryin to do a favor but its kicking me in the butt, i took a backup formatted, and then put backup back on and updated, still no joy
also accessing the tt is very slow and the files wont copy all at once is because of the onboard ram thanx again

if not work then
delete mapsettings.cfg from map folder and make hard reset...

right if i plug usb in i can do tt home anything it all works, i had earlier downloaded Navcore 8.544.1838 - 32MB i loaded the files on and still no go, how do i had reset as i cant see a reset like the others have
thanx again 4 helpin me, i really appreciate it, if i could get it working that would be brill bootloader used 5.5128

heres the original config
might of got it working now looks like the formatter i used (none windows) added another partition, i kill disked it and just used a normal windows format

DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v8)

ApplicationVersionVersion=9270
