Default Tom Tom vio on android 15

    Hi everyone,

I am trying to keep my TomTom Vio alive, but I am stuck. Since TomTom shut down the servers for this device, the official app can no longer download the initial map data (it gets stuck in a loop trying to connect).

I have successfully installed the APK on my Android 15 device, but I am missing the OBB data folder to perform a manual installation and bypass the server check.

Does anyone have a backup or a working link for the com.tomtom.gplay.scooter folder (containing the .obb file)?

I have tried searching the forum, but most old links appear to be dead. Any help would be greatly appreciated to save this device from the trash!

    Thanks in advance

    You won't get any benefit.
Old TT applications are no longer supported nor are their online functions maintained.
You won't be able to connect to the net at all to install the necessary libraries.

In addition, it is very likely that this app will not work on Android 15

So, or pay for new Go app, or use NDS from this Forum

Thanks for the advice, I understand the limitations regarding map updates and online services.

However, my specific need is hardware-related: I am trying to use the physical TomTom Vio device (the external round screen mirror).

The modern GO Navigation or NDS apps do not support bluetooth casting to this specific hardware; only the old com.tomtom.gplay.scooter app has the protocol to drive the Vio display.

I don't mind if the maps are outdated or if traffic data doesn't work. I just need the OBB file to bypass the initial server download loop so the app can launch and connect to the device on my old scooter.

If anyone still has the OBB file archived, it would be the only way to save the hardware from being useless.

I understand, I know the situation

I don't think that will help you
Despite the OBB file, the app is trying to download some missing elements from the internet. The same situation was with the GO edition that succeeded it

    Good luck

This is a long shot but if you download the app from this site

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
    It is an XAPK app.

If you rename it to the ending ZIP or RAD you can unzip it and in the folders you will find the:

    main.3941.com.tomtom.gplay.scooter.obb
    file in the folder OBB.

Now you do this at your own risk as to if it will work or not

    Good Luck.....
A lie goes around the internet before anyone ever fact checks it if it is true or not. In most cases no one ever checks anything they just accept it as fact.....
