This app provides good localization if the device's system language matches, but for some reason, it's very restrictive regarding the TTS engine (incompatible voice with device lang).
It would be great to have a patch that ignores this check and accepts any TTS engine on the device. Voices are the weakest point of this very good navigation, and users should be allowed to customize them much more easily, add pre-recorded voices, etc.

Users should stop complaining about this mod.
You want everything then do this:
12-month Family Subscription $39.99 or Euro 35.90
12-month Truck access $89.99 or Euro 80.78
Then you can make your comments to TomTom direct.
Then learn to program yourself............It would be great to have a patch that ignores this check and accepts any TTS engine

Does it not work with the TTS voices in the TomTom Labs menu either?
For me, it works with Google TTS and SmartVoice in combination with Vocalizer voices.

It works for you because German is officially supported by TomTom, also a complete translation of the UI.
I’ve mentioned it many times before – it’s not possible without full, official language support. That’s why we translated the NDS previously.
And when we once offered to do the translation for free, they threatened my friend with a lawsuit.

ok, I read most of the thread... WOW!! 5200 lines translated and won't work!? It must be frustrating.
But as I said, tomtom translated the UI well (e.g. Greek, Turkey taken from the device), and if (by some miracle) the tts vocalizer was not locked in the app, I wonder what would been on the tts output, and how would it sound? What do you think?
I ask because a similar another app, Here we Go, has no other voices except tts, immediately adapts its UI to the device just like tomtom, but correctly outputs tts. Where are those voices coming from?

Actually, the problem is on the other side. It depends on the device
For example, everything is OK on my Sony, not on my Huawei. Oh, recognizes Serbian TTS on both devices, but on Huawei reads English words in Serbian manner, which is funny to say the least.
A friend has two Samsungs, at one is OK, at the other is not
With the NDS, everything was functioning as it should
You can't compare Here with TT, they are not at the same level at all
