I really don't understand why you didn't use the .xapk file format. It's made to avoid beginner errors, and it installs easily with the mentioned xapk managers. But ... delete everything now and now copy the obb first and then install the application. You did not follow the installation order.

After uninstalling the application, I installed it again (in total, I did it several times). This time I turned on the GPS.
A strange thing happened. The application has changed the icon on the home screen. Before that, there was an icon with a dark background. Now there is a bright arrow on a white background.
Now the application works and I can download the map.

Well ... :-) A GPS signal is needed for the application to determine the country you are in and offer you to download that map.

What do you think, is it possible to make a copy of the map so that you do not have to download the map after every installation of the application?

That has been talked about so many times on this forum and the TomTom Forum.

There is no way to save the downloaded maps.
It is what it is.......

Plus this is the first time you are using TomTom NDS so you have the maps you need.
Before you could not download them......

Stil waiting for the new MOD nds version (good vacations!!! and enjoy)

But

in 1.8.17b the official version, the directories return to Android directory and you can put your PDI again!!!

android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp.nds/files/pois

in the same direction Ov2_icons/ldpi/.png don't work, maybe a new format of images is necesary.
But the important is that in your places, shows again your owns pdi

Hi,I suppose that it should only be available in the official version, because I am using the modified one and it does not access the ov2 data that I have in the files / pois directory

Anyone know how to turn on route recording when navigation is active? If I wanted to record the route while navigation is active, I cannot find such a function. best regards
