Maybe a region check. I'm in Europe and can see countries all over the world icluding congestions in big towns. There are no downloaded maps on the phone. It's all working from a online server.

You are better going back to version 1.16.2 of this app.
Known as TomTom Speed Camera app.
You can find it on Apkpure or any other app store.
But again a waste to have an app that does the same as TomTomGO or TomTom NDS which gives you some much more and maps that are off line too.
What this app really does is help TomTom get a better database for speed cameras which they will add to the TomTomGo and TomTom NDS app.

I'm a big fan of Tomtom so I use NDS, Go and AmiGo and feel free the difference between the apps. Happy driving!
