Regarding post #17:
I have an Android 9 Head unit with a dedicated SD card slot for the GPS apps. I was able to successfully install v1.18.01_2169 (Patched by DFoX) using the instructions, and successfully downloaded the maps I needed (here in the US). However, the maps downloaded to the internal memory. I have read all 10 pages of this thread, and see there is conflicting info about storing maps to SD card (mostly due to Android 11). I have two simple questions
1- After getting to the step of installing the patched apk, but before downloading maps - are you saying we need to go into the TT settings to assign the SD card as the map storage? (I do not see this setting). Or did you mean the Android/App settings?
2- If #1 is not the solution, can I just move the maps folder from the Internal storage to SD storage? (does it need to be a specific SD folder directory)
Other than my 2 questions, this TT version seems to be working correctly. As you know, most head units have limited internal storage and will not be able to accommodate large map files. That is why they include a dedicated SD card slot for the GPS apps (or to at least store the large map files).
Thanks,
ggee
