Did the installation early this morning and it seems to be fine. However, I need some help regarding US maps. I will be driving from New England to Florida. Is there a simple map (rather than the two, NE and then SE), the app provides? In other words, one map that will cover trip from N.E to Florida, perhaps State by State?

Will your contacts be displayed - not with me anymore (neither tab, cell phone nor in the car).
And I have no idea how to fix it - does anyone have an idea ??

TomTom Go running
Under Settings the the wheel in a circle.
Then Appearance
Then Show contacts on map
Now you will have to zoom in to see them.
That way the screen is not full of contacts while you are driving.
You zoom in to pick the contact you want first.
Pick the one you want to go to and drive.......

Also check you permissions.
On your phone
TomTomGO off
Settings
Apps
TomTom Go
give all the permissions.
Close everything and start TomTomGo again and it will work.
If you still have problems the a clean install might be needed and download your map again.
If that still does not work you will have to take it up with TomTom Direct........

@asprin626 I did everything but unfortunately without success.
Is it possible to make a backup of the maps and then restore ?
Use TT in the car and downloading is not really good for the battery.

Backing up does not work.
Like I said you will have to take it up with TomTom why you are having this problem.
If this app is installed on your head unit forget even asking TomTom about your problem.
Head units are not supported.
This app is made for Smartphones.
I do not understand your comment about not good for the battery???????

The download takes about 50 minutes and I can not run the engine that long so I just turn on the ignition.

Then you need to ask yourself why do I have these problems.
Because you need to have TomTomGo on a smartphone and not on your car radio.
Go over to the TomTom forum and you will see alll the user's who have tried to make the app work.
