I will try using MapInstall since everyone said MS had some issues. With MS, before installing, I had to run .reg first then install MS then copy MS patch to MS directory. Is there any special instuction on install MapInstall? Do I need to uninstall MS first before installing MapInstall? dumb question, is 1680x1050/1440x900/1280x800 a desktop monitor screen resolution or nuvi screen resolution?
Thanks

Mapinstall is the maps install engine for Basecamp, it sends selected images to gps,
you can open it from Basecamp/Map tab/Install maps.
Mapinstall is installed along Basecamp installation.
No, but you have to patch it if you like to send our .img to any drive (not only nuvi, for example to :C or else) Just replace the original .exe with the patched one in MI folder, or use pietu's files. Is there any special instuction on install MapInstall?
No, you can have MS +BC&MI installed in your pc.Do I need to uninstall MS first before installing MapInstall?

I'm using standard version of BC and MI both patched. The standard MI (with small screen) was patched by overwriting Mapinstall.exe wih the patched version of Mapinstall.exe to allow writing to drive C what I need.
Now I'm using MapInstall_404_1280x800.exe because I like the bigger size window but I see no option to write to C drive.
Can this version of MI be patched too to allow this feature and is there another exe file for this purpose ?

Neil thanks. Pietu's MI (resized UI) are not pre-patched. Would however be nice add-onSomething for future releases by Pietu.
I did create a folder "Garmin" on a SD card and using a USB compatible SD card reader Pietu's MI will recognize the SD card so can write map direct to SD card. I use this as a work-around as Pietu's MI does not recognize other drives like C etc.
I reuploaded 3 files I have in my hd:
