    Now, you are clear. You want 2-level categories. Although I know (or at least I knew) how to do it, I do not think it is currently implemented in EPE. I have not worked on this for some time now. I looked at the code and I do not see the second level category. I just remember testing it in the early days. So I assume it is not there yet.

    My recommendation is to use POI Loader to create the .gpi file.

    After many failures, I think I finally have a working Win 7 installer for EPE. The link can be found on Post #1.

    The installer is only required on the first installation and if the program is complaining about missing OCX or other library files. After that, you can only overwrite the installed EPE by the new version.

    kudos: I want to thank VersatileGuy for his help in creating this working installer. His knowledge and help were really appreciated. Thanks.

    I know I wrote that stuff somewhere, but I do not remember if it is here or on POI-Factory. As stated in my previous post you quoted, the 37xx suports only 256-color map symbol. I think Magenta is used for transparency and the map symbols can be 20x20 pixels max. Anything above will be cropped. As for the Where-To symbols, I suggest to use the 32-bit bitmap format. It works nicely and it supports the transparency correctly.

    Hi,
    ich bin von anfang an begeistert von diesem Programm für mein Garmin Zumo 550.
    Gibt es eine moöglichkeit, meine eigene POI zu meinen Android Navigon zu übertragen. Oder irgend eine app um meine eigenen POI zu verwalten, von der ich dann Navigon oder GoogleMaps in Android starte. Suche schon seit wochen im www und habe auf GooglePlay alle Programme getestet.
    Danke für Antworten.

    @FreeNeon

    If I understand you correctly, you want to take your POI's there and have them available/show in Google Navigation.

    Check out the english(sorry) AndroidForums link below. It's for Android, regardless of phone manufacturer. I'd highly suggest reading the entire thread before attempting as there is some newer info further down in the thread.

    Code:

    I'm a member there and have contemplated doing the above but I just can't peel myself away from relying on my nuvi. Sad, I know. Too, my phone has the same 4.3" screen size as my nuvi.

    I believe Google Maps has a limit of 1,000 individual points. And quite possibly Google Navigation too.

    Also, you might look at:
    The free [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or the $0.99USD [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Not too sure of their applicability to what you're looking to accomplish .......... Just a thought.

    And if you don't have that many points you can simply locate in Google Maps online and send directly to your phone.

    @turboccc, thanks a lot for the great tool. Now I can generate my "favorite" into GPI. I also tried to add pic to the custom POI and generate GPI via Garmin POI loader, but unfortunitely, the pic is not showed in my nuvi 2595, this means the pic can only be seen using TourGuides? Thanks again.
