Thanks, so did the alert triggerred? Was there an indication message at the top or somewhere on the screen indicating Redlight alert?
The color pink means transparency to Garmin. "Without pointing down" means it's clipping at the bottom left. So it might be that max size is probably 48x48 or 44x44. When you get a chance please upload the video of the test.
Here is example what you should expect, this is on a Garmin Nuvi unit testing my alert, but result should be similar
The blue icon is the alert and it's shown regardless of the alert is triggered or not (note that Cyclop alert will not show icon until alert is triggered)
As you entered the alert range (in my .gpi it's 200m), a message is shown and audio is played
Alert will not activate if it's directional and you're going the wrong direction. Or if alert is of type "Along Road" and you're not on the road.
Since you didn't get any audio, it could mean that alert wasn't triggered or there is problem playing audio. That is why it's important to know if any message was displayed indicating that the alert was triggered.
There is only three ways audio can be played (in order of complexity) based on your unit/software.
1. Predefined/Built-in tones
2. .wav file of certain format
3. .mp3 file
For example Nuvi765 can do all three while StreetPilot on android device can only do 1.
