Update Russia .gpi with EN and RU voices (same data); exclusively from gpspower.net so password is same. Do not upload to other sites!
Spoiler: .
Update: fix problem found by sbog (original post was USSR not Russia, this is only Russia now)
Source: Navitel May 2015
Converted to .gpi with EN, RU, BE, KK, UK languages. Using bearing list, built-in tones and Navitel icons. Proximity/Range=400m.
Exclusively for gpspower, so password=gpspower.net
Do not post on other sites or I will not release any future updates!
Spoiler: .
Post screenshots and accuracy of alerts and on what GPS unit it's running on. Also proximity=400m is fixed for all alerts. I can make it different for each types (even taken account of speed: faster speed means longer distant) Post any recommendations if you have them.

JFYI (package issue)
i used these options with console version of RAR:Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
rar a -s -r -m5 -tscma -md256 -ma5 ..\%1.ra5
Since all those .gpi's have duplicate EN voice, I would think it's would be smaller when rar'ed all together. I originally posted 3 separate because of political* boundary instead of space saving.
* back in the 80's I would of posted one rar with name USSR.rar![]()

osiris4isis, did you prepare the bearing list by yourself or you got it ready from Navitel's original files?
Hey, no blame at all!Congrats for the good work!
Just curious, because for directional alerts I'm using the bearing angle and distance. IMO both ways ("circle list" and "bearing angle-distance") required a tedious work to prepare the data.
If the result is one and the same (I suppose so), is there any "pros and cons" using circles or angle-distance method?

I think I discussed this in one of my other threads. Basically, I would use bearing list if road is not curvy and distant it not long (ie: tunnel, average cam, or far mobile alerts) Bearing list works great for redlight and fixed cam. Circle list takes more work because the more circles you use the more accurate and multiple notification works. Trying to automate the creation of them is more an art than science (lots of tweaking) Navitel is one of few vendor providing alerts with bearing angles so it's just parsing the alert file and creating the .xml to be created by Garmin Creator Toolkit. I wish Navitel release maps and alerts for U.S.
Nevetheless RAR 5.xx gains much even with that artifical political boundary:
whereas the effect of 'ex-USSR' is about 10.8% (21'../19'..) only.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
I would hope so, my rar version is 3.93 and the next answer is "no, I will not* upgrade."
* there are problems with using rar version after 3.93 to unrar files that was rar'ed before 3.93, so I stick with that version; so far, no problem. efficiency gain doesn't mean squat if you can't unrar'ed.
